The best free AI visibility checker depends on what you want from it:
- A score in a minute: HubSpot’s AEO Grader or Mangools.
- A five-engine probe built by an indie maker: pickedby.ai.
- A cheap repeated-run check with fixes you will do yourself: Kovmere, at $19.
- A reading list of who was named instead of you and which sources the AI cited: ours. Three runs on five engines, read by a person.
None of them can tell you what an AI will say tomorrow. Prices checked October 2026.

What each one is good for
HubSpot AEO Grader. The best-known name, a clean report and a free Academy course behind it. It scores how the models describe your brand from what they already know. That is a fair proxy for reputation.
It does not run live buyer questions. So a brand the models have never heard of gets a low score with no reason attached. Afterwards you will be in HubSpot’s CRM. That is the price.
pickedby.ai. Built by an indie maker, launched on r/SideProject in June 2026, aimed at people like you. Free, quick, five engines, and a prescription of what to fix. We like it. It is a score first and a source list second.
Ahrefs. Already pay for Ahrefs? The free checker opens a window onto a very big prompt index, and Brand Radar is one of the best source-analytics dashboards there is. If you do not pay for Ahrefs, the free preview is a teaser.
Mangools. Fast, free, and honest about its models. They are mostly the small, cheap ones (GPT-5 Nano, Mistral Small, Llama 3.3). Your buyers do not use those, so treat the score as a rough indication.
Kovmere. The best value on this page if you will do the fixes yourself. For $19 you get 20 questions, three runs, five engines and up to three fixes. We think the method is sound. It is an automated report, and it does not do the outreach.
Ours. Not a score. Five questions you would actually get asked, each run three times on five engines. For every one of the 75 answers: were you named, who was named instead, which sources were cited.
A person checks every report. That person is why it takes two working days instead of two seconds. You get a to-do list, not a number.
What none of them do
- Predict next week. Answers change from run to run. In one 536,301-answer study, the three big assistants agreed on only about 3 percent of company recommendations.
- Do the work. A score, however accurate, is a diagnosis. Someone still has to make the placements, reviews and pages.
- Count on one run. If a checker shows you one answer and calls it your visibility, run it again.
Choose them instead if you want a quick number today or are comparing dozens of brands. Also if you will do every fix yourself, for $0 to $19.
Choose us if you want the reading list behind the number: three runs on the five assistants your buyers use, read by a person. Useful if you might want the work done afterwards. Both choices are fine. Running two checkers and comparing is a good afternoon.

Questions
Why does my score differ between graders?
Because they measure different things, on different models, with one sample each. Ask the same prompt twice and you get the same brand list less than one time in a hundred. A single-sample score is a weather reading, not the climate.
Is a score out of 100 useful at all?
As a first nudge, yes. As a plan, no. The useful part is who was named instead of you and which pages the AI cited. That is what you can act on.
Why is your check not instant?
Because a person checks every report before it goes out. And 75 answers with sources take longer than one. Two working days is the honest turnaround while the pilot is run by hand.
