Let Claude’s crawlers in, make your page the plainest answer to the question, and get mentioned on the pages Claude cites for your category. At $2k MRR, spend hours on this rather than money: nobody can sell you a place in Claude’s answers, and a retainer would eat most of your revenue.
There is no form to submit your tool to and no paid slot that I can find. Claude writes from what it already learned in training and from what it finds when it searches. You can change the second one this month. The first one is slow and not in your hands.
Do these, in this order
- Check your robots.txt. Anthropic runs three crawlers. Blocking Claude-SearchBot or Claude-User “may reduce your site’s visibility” in search results, in Anthropic’s own words. ClaudeBot is the training one, and blocking it is a separate decision. Muck Rack found that sites blocking Claude’s crawler got almost no Claude citations.
- Ask Claude your buyer’s question, with search on. Five questions, three times each. Copy every source it cites into a spreadsheet. That is your target list, and it may not match what ChatGPT cites.
- Write the one page that answers the question. Put the question in the title, the plain answer first, then price, who it is for and who it is not for. In the HTML, not behind JavaScript.
- Get onto the third-party pages from step 2. The “best X” lists, comparisons and threads. For US software questions, 72.7 percent of cited sources were earned media, so this is the bulk of it. How to pitch them.
- Re-ask the same questions every 30 days. Same words, same count. One answer means nothing.
What our own numbers say about Claude
This is one small site, so treat it as a warning, not a rule. I also track Daily Dumplings, my mum’s food business. As of November 4 2026, on the five questions it is asked about most days:
| Assistant | Named | Out of |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT | 16 | 26 |
| Muse | 12 | 20 |
| Gemini | 11 | 26 |
| Perplexity | 8 | 26 |
| Claude | 0 | 26 |
Same site, same questions. Other assistants read it and name it. Claude does not. When I limited Claude’s search to her domain it returned her pages, and without the limit they never appeared. So the site is indexed, and it does not rank in the search Claude uses. That is the likely reason, not proven, and it is a different problem from being unreadable.
If your tool looks like that, more on-site work will not fix it. You need other people’s pages, which do rank, to mention you. That is step 4.
The Claude numbers come from Claude’s command-line tool with web search on, not the chat app. They may not match what you see on your screen.
What to spend at $2k MRR
| Option | Price | Share of a $2k month | My view at this revenue |
|---|---|---|---|
| The steps above | $0 and some evenings | 0% | Start here |
| Free check | $0 | 0% | Yes, if you would rather not do step 2 by hand. It includes Claude |
| Audit, founding price | $99 once | 5% | Reasonable once you have customers. You get the exact targets and do the work |
| Audit, regular price | $149 once | 7.5% | Same |
| Tracker | About $29 to $95 a month | 1.5% to 5%, every month | Skip for now. A spreadsheet does this |
| Project | $799 once | 40% | Only if you have no hours at all and the channel matters. Otherwise wait |
| Agency | About $1,500 to $5,000 a month | Most of it, or more | No |
I sell the audit and the project, so weigh that. I would still tell you not to spend 40 percent of a month’s revenue on something where the result cannot be promised.
What to expect
- Not a date. I cannot tell you when Claude will name you. I have no paying customers yet to point at, and my own service was named in 0 of 422 answers across all assistants as of November 4 2026.
- Possibly nothing from Claude for a while, even if others move.
- Other assistants may move first. They read different sources, which is why you measure them separately.
Questions
How do I get Claude to recommend my tool at $2k MRR?
Allow Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User in robots.txt, make your pages answer the exact question in plain HTML, and get mentioned on the third-party pages Claude cites for your category. At $2k MRR, spend hours rather than money: a free check, then a $99 to $149 audit at most.
Can I pay Anthropic or submit my tool to Claude?
As far as I can find, there is no submission form and no paid placement for Claude's answers. It searches, reads and writes an answer.
Which Claude crawler matters for being recommended?
Anthropic says blocking Claude-SearchBot or Claude-User may reduce your site's visibility in user search results. ClaudeBot collects content that could be used for training. You can block ClaudeBot and still allow the other two.
Is $799 worth it at $2k MRR?
Probably not. It is 40 percent of a month's revenue, and results are not promised. If you have a few hours a week, do it yourself from a plan first.
Is being indexed enough for Claude to name me?
No. In our own data one small site that other AIs name often was named by Claude 0 of 26 times, and in one test its pages appeared when the search was limited to its domain but not otherwise.
