Questions Fair questions about getting recommended by AI assistants, answered plainly: guarantees, ads, timing, data, who it is not for, and what we need from you. By Dasha. Updated November 1 2026. https://heardofyou.io/faq Fair questions, answered plainly. The new word of mouth has no mouth. It does have opinions. Here is how we deal with them. Your question not here? Write to hello@heardofyou.io. A person answers. Good questions tend to end up on this page. Questions What exactly does Heard of You do? We check whether AI assistants name your product when buyers ask for a recommendation. Then we do the slow, honest work of getting you into the sources they read. Real reviews. Roundups that pick on merit. Clear pages on your site. The threads your buyers read, under your own name. At day 30, 60 and 90 we check again and show you the before and after. Do you guarantee results? We guarantee two things and refuse a third. One: every deliverable on your day-one list ships within 90 days, or you get the project fee back. Two: before we start, we agree a target, named in at least N of 20 agreed answers at day 60. Miss it, and we keep working at no charge until day 120. Three, the refusal: we never promise what an AI will say. Nobody can. Anyone who does is guessing. Why not just buy ChatGPT ads? You can. If you want traffic this week and have a funnel to catch it, ads may be the right call. But ads sit beside the answer, labelled, and people skip them like search ads. The answer itself is not for sale. It is built from what the web says about you, and that is the part we work on. Ads stop the day you stop paying. A good review on the right site keeps working. Also, Claude has no ads and Perplexity closed its ad program. Ads only reach some of your buyers anyway. Is this SEO? Cousins, not twins. Ordinary search ranking still helps: AIs that search the web as they answer tend to cite pages that rank well. But most of what AIs cite is third-party: review sites, roundups, forums. SEO works on your site. We work mostly on the places that talk about your site. Nothing we do hurts your SEO, and most of it helps. What if AI says something wrong about me? It happens. We log it as its own category, called Wrong, in every check. The fix is usually to make the correct version easy to find. A clear statement on your site. A correct review-site profile. A plain answer in the thread where the wrong claim lives. In a project we do that for you. We cannot delete what a model learned. We can give it something better to read. How long until I see change? AIs that search the web as they answer, like Perplexity, can pick up a new review or roundup within weeks. Answers that come mostly from training move more slowly, sometimes months. So we check at day 30, 60 and 90 instead of promising a date. It is also why the keep-working window runs to day 120. What do you need from me? About an hour at the start: a short kickoff form or call, and a yes or no on the questions we track. A list of real customers we may politely ask for a review. A yes or no on anything that goes out under your name. Access to publish three pages on your site, or someone who can. That is it. We handle the rest. Who is this NOT for? Funded teams with a marketing department: hire an agency or a marketer. Local businesses like cafes and clinics: listings and maps matter more than roundups there, and we are not set up for that yet. Anyone who needs a guaranteed ranking: it does not exist. Products with no real customers yet: honest reviews need real users, so do the free check and come back when you have ten. And anyone who wants us to post as a fake customer. We will not. What happens to my data? We collect your name, email, website and the answers we log about you. At launch it lives in three places: our email inbox, a spreadsheet and a small database. Nowhere else. If you give us a customer list for review requests, we use it only to send the request you approved. We delete it when the project ends. We do not sell data. We do not run tracking cookies. You can ask us to delete everything at any time. The privacy page has the details. Why no monthly plan from the start? Because the first job has a clear end: get into the sources, then prove it. Monthly work only makes sense once you have seen a before and after. So we offer keep growing after your day 30 re-check. Never before, and never as the first thing you buy. What if the free check shows I am already doing well? Then we tell you, congratulate you, and you keep your money. The free check is free whatever it finds. We would rather have your referral than your $149. Is the free check really free? What is the catch? Free. No card, no sales call. The catch, if you want one: we hope the report is useful enough that some people buy the audit. If you do not, you still have the report, and we are still glad you asked. Why these five AIs? ChatGPT and Gemini, because consumers use them most for buying research. Claude, because builders and founders use it heavily. Perplexity, because it searches the live web on every answer, so new sources show up without waiting for a model update. Muse, Meta's AI app, because it is the assistant inside WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook, where a lot of everyday asking now happens. Do your buyers ask somewhere else, like a marketplace's shopping assistant? Then we will say this check is not the right tool for you yet. Do I pay a fee when a site lists me? Never. We do not pay for placement, and we never pass a publisher's charge on to you. If a list only takes paid entries, we skip it and say so. How do I pay, and is there a checkout? Yes. The audit and the project each have a Pay now button on the pricing page, which opens a secure Stripe checkout; Stripe emails the receipt and your statement shows HEARDOFYOU.IO. Prefer an invoice? Send the short request form, Dasha confirms the fit within 2 working days, and the invoice is payable by card or bank transfer. Work starts when it is paid. Not a fit before work starts? Full refund. Who answers if I write in? Dasha. Heard of You is one person. hello@heardofyou.io goes to a human inbox, read every working day.
